Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about JavaScript deobfuscation.
What is a JavaScript code formatter?
A code formatter automatically restructures your JavaScript to follow consistent style rules — proper indentation, spacing around operators, consistent quotes, and line lengths.
What style guide does this formatter use?
This tool uses Prettier under the hood, which is the most popular opinionated JavaScript formatter used by millions of developers worldwide.
Can I customize the formatting rules?
The tool applies sensible Prettier defaults (2-space indent, 80-char line width, double quotes). Custom configuration is on our roadmap.
Is my code sent to a server?
No. Formatting runs in your browser with Prettier, so your code isn't uploaded. (The one exception: if your browser can't run the formatter at all, it falls back to formatting on our server.) Deobfuscation does use our server, where code runs in an isolated sandbox and is never stored.
